Meet The Team

SHIKHA SHEORAN
Volunteer

I am Shikha Sheoran and I take care of the tiny tots at Iccha, at the Andrews Ganj site. I was never a teacher by profession, but in 2008 I got a chance to look after a pre-primary school in the capacity of the headmistress. In 2017 I started my PG degree in counseling psychology and I had to do an internship so I joined an NGO in Dwarka named “Choti si Khushi”. I joined it for 3 months but I ended up there for 3 years because of my love for these little angels. I moved from Dwarka and was looking for something when Tina told me about “Iccha” and I found my love again.

RAHUL MASSEY
Volunteer

Hello. I am Rahul Massey. Aside from my full-time job, I volunteer at the street school helping with the translation. Since the first day I love spending my time there, teaching the kids, helping them learn, playing with them and getting to know them better. I'm looking forward to staying connected with the organisation in the future too.

TINA RODWELL-LYNN
Volunteer

My name is Tina Rodwell-Lynn and I teach and co-ordinate the learning programmes at The Andrew’s Ganj site. I have been teaching for over 25 years, and before coming out to India with my husband, I was the headteacher of a primary school in Devon, England. I loved my job and it was difficult to leave it, but as I had spent many years telling children to take risks and push themselves out of their comfort zone, I thought it was time I followed my own advice! I came across a Facebook Post asking for volunteers for ICCHA, and the rest they say is history.

DINESH BHASIN

Ad Man, minimalist by nature. purely passionate for Golf, Captains a Darts Team & plays Gaelic Football. Started as a confused Indian graduate. An early stage entrepreneur tasted a failed start-up at the age of 21, career spanned from working at Unilever in India to TBWA Worldwide in Africas and advertising took him further to Netherlands and Hong Kong. Coming from a Sikh family it's in blood and culture to give something back to society, what's better than education. ICCHA started as a weekend thing with colleagues and friends in East Kidwai Nagar as a CSR in 2011 and gradually it had volunteers from 16+ countries.

TRACY
Volunteer

Hi my name is Tracy Smith, I have been volunteering at Iccha, wow! what a wonderful experience. As an Early Years manager in the UK I wanted to find a NGO that needed my skills at grass roots level and where time, passion and commitment made a difference, I found it! I left a very busy demanding job in early years, along with my 2 self sufficient children and wonderful home in England to live in India. My whole working life has been with young children, travelling and experiencing the world in that capacity. My next chapter has now begun with Iccha The Desire School in Delhi.
